Week 26: Abstract Pencil Art

*Mindful Art Decompression Session*

Emily led a mindfulness session focused on art as a way to decompress from the holidays. She guided the participants through an abstract art project, encouraging them to fully focus on their work and let their brains decompress. Emily stressed the importance of taking deep breaths and fully committing to the art, using the art as a means to process any feelings or emotions from the holiday season.

Emily focused on coloring as a relaxation technique. She encouraged participants to focus on their breathing, identify any tension, and ask their bodies why they were feeling stressed. They also advised participants to stretch if they felt any discomfort. Emily used various colors in their demonstration, including orange, purple, blue, green, and yellow, and stressed that the purpose of the activity was to promote relaxation.
