Artworks Studio + EEJ Creates

Studio Space = Monthly Classes

Exciting Announcement: Join me for Monthly Art Classes in Carroll, Iowa!

I am delighted to announce my partnership with Artworks Studio in Carroll, Iowa to bring you monthly art classes!

After 8 months of running EEJ Creates and leading many Paint and Sip style art events - I found 3 things necessary for my business to be sustainable long-term.

  1. I want a regularly occurring event that current and future clients can count on for their art needs.

  2. I need a location that does not depend on favorable weather conditions.

  3. I deeply want my soul’s work (Found in Art) to be available to in-person clients.

Together with Artworks Studio, we are making my art classes accessible to a local audience.

When I approached Laura Comito -the studio owner- (and her sister, Cecelia) about my idea to use their maker/ studio space, they nearly immediately loved the idea and my art mission. Laura has graciously allowed me to rent her space and has been sharing her 30+ years of art and business knowledge with me.

Some things you need to know about these classes:

  • Space is limited to 12 people

  • All classes will be ages 16 and up unless otherwise noted due to equipment in the maker space.

  • This space is rented so the price will reflect rent, all art supplies needed, and fair compensation for my time/expertise.

  • Tickets are available through my Art Classes tab and are non-refundable. Tickets won’t be available through Artworks Studio - this is to simplify $$ and minimize any confusion.

  • Day/Time of events will vary monthly.

The first two classes are on April 13th at 1 pm and May 16th at 5:30 pm. These first two classes will be “Found in Art” style. (It’s kind of like yoga for your brain using art.) You can sign up here. If you want to check out this style of class before you sign up - I have a few free sample classes available here and here.

I am incredibly optimistic about how this will help my business grow and the chances to offer new things to Carroll and surrounding communities. As a resident of rural Calhoun County, I love finding fun and surprising activities in the heart of Iowa.
